Posting Guidelines
While there will be some web pages with information, our primary focus is the forums. After all, the STTM site will still be around, full of plenty of information for us … so what we're offering here is online support, plain and simple. For your protection, we ask that you do NOT post your email address in your profile, in your signature, or in the forums.
You MUST be a member to post. All questions you have will be addressed in the forums, so please do not send a Private Message (PM) to a moderator asking a question unless it really is TOO personal to ask on the open forum. Remember, whatever your question is, there's at least one other person with the same issue … and probably a lot more than that! We will make suggestions based on our own experience, but we will NOT tell you what to do. That is always up to you, since you're the one who lives in your body.
Every person here is human, whether they be moderators or not. That being so, you can expect that someone will occasionally make a mistake. It happens. If you point it out, or ask your question in a different way, chances are that we'll be able to correct it.
Each of us is unique … so what works for one may not work the same for another. That being so, take all advice with a grain of salt and a gallon of thoughtful consideration.
Each of us is an adult, responsible for our own actions. That being so, nobody is responsible for what you do, except yourself. It's really easy to blame someone else if something goes wrong, but that doesn't make it right … and you already know that. Our litigious society has played the blame game far too much. We're not going to play it. None of the moderators are doctors. We're all patients, just like yourself, who happen to have learned a little something along the way. We're happy to share it with you, but we are NOT responsible in ANY way if you have a negative outcome due to our suggestions.
When in doubt, please, consult with your physician. That is the person who is supposed to be most familiar with your health issues and most able to help you to make good decisions as to your care.
